New Orleans, Louisiana
Solange Knowles married Alan Ferguson at Marginy Opera House in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The all-ivory wedding ceremony took place in front of 100 guests including Beyonce, Jay-Z and Janelle Monae.
The bride and groom arrived at the church on vintage white painted bicycles. The groom got a flat tire and walked his bike as they approached the venue.
Solange wore a cape jacket and jumpsuit by Stephane Rolland. The groom matched in an ivory suit by Lanvin and gold-capped shoes.
Beyonce wore a Torn by Ronny Kobo Maggie Lasso Diamonds Dress and platform heels.
For the ceremony, Solange walked down the aisle to a symphonic instrumental version of Donny Hathaway’s, “I Love the Lord, He Heard My Cry.” She wore an Humberto Leon for Kenzo caplet gown and accessorized with gold arm cuffs.
Following the vows, a sit down dinner was catered by Dinner Lab. Performances were given by Kelela, Questlove and Kindness. There was also a choreographed dance-off between Knowles and her ten-year-old son Daniel Julez to “No Flex Zone.”
Guests then boarded party buses bound for NOLA’s historic Tremé neighborhood. As they got off the buses they began a traditional second line parade with a brass jazz band.
Solange changed again into another cape jumpsuit that featured a plunging neckline by Stephane Rolland. She danced in the street and waved sparklers with her family, friends and locals who joined in the festivities.
After the parade, a second reception was held at the New Orleans Museum of Art.
Solange and Alan honeymooned at Uxua in Trancoso, Brazil.
