The dress, which is is expected to sell for $13,000-$20,000 dollars, was never worn by Hepburn who called off her wedding to James Hanson.

At the time, Hepburn asked that the Fontana sisters give the dress “to someone who could never afford a dress like mine, the most beautiful, poor Italian girl you can find.”
