Donald Trump sat down with Brides.com to give advice to future grooms and discuss his own wedding day.
In the interview, Donald says he was happy to let his bride do most of the planning for their $3 million wedding at his Mar-a-Lago estate. “I was very pleased and relieved when Melania told me my tuxedo was in the closet and ready to go,” he says. “Everything was taken care of and I enjoyed the spontaneity of a very wonderful day.”
Trump, who says he enjoys the traditions of exchanging vows and the formality of weddings, gives advice to future grooms. “Enjoy the day to the fullest,” he explains, “because it’s a celebration of a very special part of your life that will hopefully remain that way for a very long time.”
With two daughters, Ivanka and Tiffany, Donald says he looks forward to being the father of the bride, as long as his daughters choose the right man. “The most important thing for future grooms is to make it clear that the well-being of the daughter has been carefully considered,” he says. “It’s nice to have the feelings of love but that means responsibility, foresight and reason are involved as well.”
