The vows took place under a pagoda decorated with 10,000 black magic roses imported for the occasion. The bride wore an off-white sleeveless scoop neck gown. The groom wore a beige suit. The vows were officiated by a local Anglican priest, as the couple stood on a wooden dais custom-made for their wedding.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the resort’s banquet room, where guests toasted with champagne and dined on caviar and blackened Scottish salmon. A Barbadian steel pianist entertained the crowd during dinner and was followed by a performance by Hootie & The Blowfish.
At the conclusion of the night, there was a fireworks show.
The groom rented out the entire hotel for the week, as well as the island’s sole helicopter charter company, to ensure privacy. The wedding was rumored to have cost $1.5 million.
