Ashlee Simpson married Evan Ross on August 30, 2014. The wedding took place at the Greenwich, Connecticut home of the groom’s mother, Diana Ross.

The bride wore a two-piece lace ensemble by Houghton featuring the corded lace Aligote crop top paired with the ivory corded lace Macabeau skirt with high/low hemline and train. She accessorized with a custom silk tulle veil with a long train, trimmed with a hand-sewn scalloped lace edge. In her long wavy hair, she wore a headband consisting of twisted chains and golden laurels.

The groom wore a velvet tuxedo by Dolce and Gabbana and a top hat.

Each of the bridesmaids, which included Ashlee’s sister, Jessica Simpson, and Evan’s half-sister Tracee Ellis Ross, wore white gowns. Jessica chose a Neil Lane diamond tiara which she wore upside down.

The wedding was officiated by Diana Ross and took place in a forest on the property. Ashlee walked down the aisle on the arm of her son, Bronx.

Planned by Mindy Weiss, the wedding featured eclectic decor including dream catchers, tents and tree stumps. Flowers included garden roses, azaleas as well as leaves and pieces of twigs which tied in to the bohemian theme.

The couple exchanged wedding bands by Neil Lane during the ceremony and a choir sang the Stevie Wonder song “You & I.”

At the completion, Ross serenaded the couple with “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Lovely Day.”

The reception followed in a tent erected for the occasion. The couple was introduced for the first time as husband and wife by Tracee Ellis Ross. They shared their first dance to the Stevie Wonder classic, “Overjoyed.” Later in the evening, Diana Ross surprised everyone by performing “Endless Love.”

Dinner was served buffet style with menu items including sliced beef fillets, baked butternut squash polenta with smoked gouda cheese, chanterelle mushrooms, roasted caulifower salad, Southern-style fried chicken and mac n’ cheese.

A four-tiered naked wedding cake by BCake NY was served. Decorated with fresh dahlias, the frosting less confection had layers of vanilla, chocolate and red velvet.

For late night snacks, guests enjoyed grilled cheese sandwiches, french fries, apple pies and banana cream pies.

The couple honeymooned in Bali.
