Fergie, aka Stacey Ferguson, married Josh Duhamel in a Catholic ceremony on January 10, 2009 at Church Estate Vineyards in Malibu, CA. The black-tie wedding was planned by Mindy Weiss and rumored to have cost $1 million.
Among the 367 guests in attendance were Jerry O’Connell, Rebecca Romijn, Molly Sims and Mario Lopez. As guests arrived, they were greeted with lemonade, beer in frosted mugs, and fishing poles to catch rainbow trout on the property’s lake.
The enchanted forest theme vows were held inside of a tent decorated with chandeliers and twinkling lights.
The couple’s two dachshunds, dressed in bride and groom outfits, started the processional by walking down the aisle to the “Peanuts” theme. The groom followed in a custom suit designed by Dolce & Gabbana.
The bride and her father walked down the aisle to “The Wedding March.” Fergie wore a Dolce & Gabbana mermaid-style dress with draped gauze, silk tulle and a 40-foot train.
The couple exchanged H. Stern wedding bands engraved with personal messages. Guests cheered and clapped when Fergie and Duhamel were pronounced husband and wife.
Cocktails were served following the nuptials, set to music from a live bluegrass band. Prior to the reception, Fergie changed into a short Dolce & Gabbana chiffon cocktail dress with Swarovski crystal detailing.
A seated dinner was held in a tent filled with white lights and flowers. The menu included winter chopped salad, roasted tomato soup, beef tenderloin and sea bass. Each table had centerpieces of roses, lilacs, hydrangeas, orchids and calla lilies.
For dessert, Perfect Endings created a half-banana, half-chocolate wedding cake designed to look like a castle. The 150-pound creation required four people to carry it.
The couple shared their first dance to “Sweethearts Together” by The Rolling Stones. Afterward, The James Gang took the stage to play classic songs from the Etta James and Frank Sinatra songbooks.
Later in the evening, a slide show was shown with photos of the couple at different stages in their lives. At the end, Josh surprised Fergie with a video segment of 40 of their closest friends dancing and lip-synching to her hit, “Fergalicious.” The video included a pregnant Rebecca Romijn dancing at her house and Stacey Kiebler and boyfriend Geoff Stultz singing and dancing in the shower.
At the conclusion of the meal, an after party was held in a third tent decorated to look like a Moroccan lounge. The tent included couches and a graffiti mural that read “Fergie Loves Josh.” At one point Kid Rock jumped on stage and sang his hit “All Summer Long,” joined by the bride.
At the end of the evening, guests received a caricature of the bride and groom fishing, along with rubber bracelets reading “A Perfect Pair.”
The couple honeymooned in the Maldives at the One & Only Reethi Rah.
