Lake Como, Italy
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend were married on September 14, 2013 in Lake Como, Italy.
The rustic-chic wedding was planned by Lisa Vorce.
Stevie Wonder and Kanye West were among the guests at the vows which took place on a terrace overlooking the lake at hotel Villa Pizzo.
The bride wore a strapless ivory wedding dress by Vera Wang with an open back, lifted tulle skirt and hand-cut petal embroidered details. She walked down the aisle on the arm of her father carrying a bouquet of white flowers by Mindy Rice.
Model Brooklyn Decker served as a bridesmaid in the ceremony and wore a pale pink gown by Amsale.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, guests tossed cream colored rose petals on the newlyweds.
For the outdoor reception, Teigen changed into a strapless ivory Vera Wang dress featuring a micro-pleated bodice and sheared organza full skirt.
Tables were set with tapers in handblown glass holders and moss-lined woven metal baskets were filled with hydrangeas, roses, snowberries, olive branches, hellebores, oregano, eucalyptus, magnolias, and ivy.
The bride was serenaded by her new husband along with Stevie Wonder as they dueted to “Isn’t She Lovely.” Legend also performed “All Of Me,” a song he penned for his bride.
For dessert, a four-tiered carrot cake by AFM Banqueting Milano was served.
At the after party, deejayed by Biz Markie, Teigen wore a third dress, a crimson strapless mermaid gown with a hand-draped bodice, inverted flange skirt and embroidered crystal wheat detail.
At the end of the evening, the newlyweds departed in a Silver Cloud Rolls-Royce and headed back to Villa d’Este, where they spent their wedding night.
Teigen and Legend honeymooned in Portofino, Italy. They got engaged in 2011 while vacationing in the Maldives.
