Philadelphia Eagles long snapper Jon Dorenbos married Julie Lesicki on April 9, 2010. The wedding took place at St. Augstine Catholic Church in Philadelphia.
Among the 250 guests at the afternoon ceremony were Jon’s current and former teammates David Akers and Hank Baskett, along with TV stars Jensen Ackles and Ryan Dunn.
The bride wore a strapless dress by Romona Keveza and carried a bouquet of calla lilies, roses and cymbidium orchids.
During the vows, the pastor read letters the couple had written to each other prior to the ceremony.
Following the nuptials, guests were bussed to the nearby Cescaphe Ballroom for a magic themed reception, an ode to Jon’s love of being a magician. An ice sculpture was modeled after a playing card and tables were named for cards like Queen of Hearts and Ten of Diamonds.
As the couple were introduced for the first time as husband and wife, Jon surprised Julie with a song he had written which he performed on guitar.
They later danced together for the first time to “Spot in the Corner,” a song written by groomsman Steve Carlson.
Entertainment for the evening was provided by Chico’s Vibe who kept everyone dancing all night long.
At midnight, breakfast style food was served including omelettes, pancakes, eggs and bacon.
As favors, guests departed with almonds honoring Julie’s Italian heritage and playing cards that read “Julie and Jon, Two of a Kind.”
The next morning the newlyweds departed for an after-party in Jamaica with 37 friends. Four days later, they began their honeymoon at Jade Mountain Resort in St. Lucia.
