“Jumping the Broom” opens in theaters today and to say we love with the wedding scene from this movie is an understatement. The film centers around the nuptials of Sabrina and Jason, a bride and groom from two divergent families, whose relatives are forced to come together over a wedding weekend.
Filmed at an oceanfront estate in Nova Scotia (which doubles for Martha’s Vineyard), the wedding has the elegance and charm of the perfect seaside affair. The ivory and champagne color palette brings together hues from the sandy beach and surrounding rustic landscape perfectly.
The bride, played by Paula Patton, wears a strapless wedding dress with an asymmetrical waistline by Anjolique. Made of Godavari Silk, the bodice has ruching and crystal beading. The style #1010, is available in light ivory or gold.
The champagne colored bridesmaid dresses have a sweetheart neckline and bubble skirt. Similar styles include Coren Moore’s “Avery” dress or Bill Levkoff style 689.
“Jumping the Broom” opens in theatres on May 6.
