After months of secrecy, Kate Middleton‘s wedding dress details were finally revealed Friday morning.
The v-neck gown with a long-sleeved laced overlay was designed by Sarah Burton, creative director for Alexander McQueen.
The bodice, skirt and underskirt were made of French Chantilly and English lace. The full skirt was made with white satin gazar arches and pleats represents an opening flower. The train of the gown measures two metres 70 centimetres.
Kate’s veil was made of layers of soft, ivory silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers and was held in place by a Cartier ‘halo’ tiara, lent to her by The Queen.
As the wedding festivities continue, Kate is expected to change into a second and possibly third dress.
