Major League Baseball pitcher Kyle Kendrick married three-time “Survivor” contestant Stephanie LaGrossa on November 13, 2010.
The wedding took place at Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, California in front of 105 guests.
Stephenie wore a strapless dropped-waist wedding dress by Priscilla of Boston enhanced with crystal brooches. The brooches inspired the theme for the wedding which included hundreds of crystals and sparkle used throughout the day.
The ceremony took place on a brick patio near a grove of trees. The couple said their vows beneath a bird cage like structure draped with white sheets.
They exchanged rings by DiSimone Jewelers in a non-denominational ceremony.
Following the nuptials, the newlyweds took a ride in a horse and carriage and were greeted by their guests at the stairway to the reception.
Cocktails were served at a lucite bar filled with water and floating orchids.
Appetizers included Philly cheesesteaks, a nod to Kendrick’s Philadelphia baseball team.
Inside the ballroom, event designer Eden Rodriguez used orchids, white hydrangeas and sterling silver roses as decoration. Centerpieces included tall cylinders with floating candles atop crystal encrusted table cloths. Feathers and antique brooches enhanced the sparkle provided by the hundreds of crystals throughout the room.
The couple shared their first dance to “Then” by Brad Paisley before dance band Mixx Company took the stage and played classics all night.
For dessert, a four-tiered wedding cake by Cake Coquette was served, topped with a crystal brooch made out of sugar. The chocolate groom’s cake was made in the shape of a baseball mit with a ball.
Kendrick and LaGrossa met in a bar in Philadelphia in 2008 and were engaged one year later. They honeymooned in Hawaii.
