Lauren Bush and David Lauren were married at Ralph Lauren’s 17,000 acre Double RL Ranch on September 4, 2011.
The western-themed wedding was attended by 200 guests including Lauren’s uncle, President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura.
The bride walked down the aisle in a high-necked wedding dress by the groom’s father, Ralph Lauren, with puffed shoulders and open back. Made of featherweight tulle, the gown was hand-embroidered with motifs of flowers, Renaissance-era scroll designs, Swarovski crystals, and pearl beads.
She opted for cowboy boots along with the five bridesmaids who wore white linen blouses, vests, and vintage prairie skirts.
At the conclusion of the Jewish ceremony, the couple rode down the mountain in an old horse-drawn carriage.
A reception followed in a 200-year-old barn decorated with wild roses, lily of the valley, Queen Anne’s lace, and gardenias.
For dinner, Double RL steaks from the ranch were served along with a vegetarian offering to accommodate the bride.
The entertainment for the evening was provided by country singer Michael Martin Murphey.
The next day, the newlyweds and their guests attended a post-wedding rodeo. They later took off for a honeymoon in Italy.
