Watch Maroon 5 Crash Los Angeles Weddings

In the music video for “Sugar”, the guys of Maroon 5 become wedding crashers giving surprise performances to shocked brides and grooms.

Was Adam Levine inspired by his recent wedding to Behati Prinsloo? The newlywed and Maroon 5 frontman uses wedding crashing as the premise for the group’s new music video for the song “Sugar.”

The video includes several celebrity wedding venues including Carondelet House, where Andrew West recently married Amber Stevens. The group then moves on to the Park Plaza Hotel, (Lance Bass’s wedding venue) where the group gives a surprise performance to a shocked bride and groom.

Levine tells Entertainment Tonight, “It was really stressful to arrange all of it” but the brides and grooms were certainly shocked that the band had crashed their weddings. “It was a lot of fun. It felt good to kind of surprise these people and make them happy. Happy that they liked our band too. It would have been a total disaster [if not].”

The video was directed by David Dobkin, director of the famed 2005 movie “Wedding Crashers.”
