Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher were married in front of 250 guests at the Ritz Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation on July 10, 2010.
The bride walked down an aisle scattered with white rose petals as a string quartet played Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus.”
She wore a Chantilly lace gown by Monique Lhuillier and a 40-karat diamond tiara, a wedding gift from the groom.
A flower girl and ring-bearer were accompanied down the aisle by Underwood’s dog Ace who wore a Swarovski-encrusted pink tuxedo.
The couple recited traditional vows under a birch tree arbor with hanging pink rose balls. They exchanged wedding bands by Johnathan Arndt before being pronounced husband and wife.
A reception followed in a ballroom decorated with 5,000 dripping crystals and pink lighting.
Table numbers were painted on hockey pucks and at each place setting tuxedo-folded napkins were accented with crystals.
Guests nibbled on sushi and risotto lollipops before a four-course dinner was served.
Underwood changed into a strapless Monique Lhuillier cocktail dress as the dancing began. She surprised her groom with a live performance of “Love Never Fails” by contemporary Christian singer Brandon Heath for their first dance.
Later in the evening, a DJ took over and spun a mix of country and pop.
For dessert, a cupcake tower made by Underwood’s friend and bridesmaid Ivey Childers was served.
The couple honeymooned at Le Taha’a Island Resort and Spa in Tahiti.
