NASCAR Driver Brian Scott Makes Wedding Vows to Step Daughter


NASCAR driver Brian Scott made wedding vows to his 3-year-old step-daughter at his wedding to Whitney Kay. The vows are in shown in an emotional video.

NASCAR driver Brian Scott married Whitney Kay last January at the Shore Lodge in McCall, Idaho. His emotional wedding vows to not only his wife, but his 3-year -old stepdaughter, are shown in a video that has only recently gone viral.

“It’s really surprising that a year after the fact it exploded like it did,” Scott tells The Huffington Post. “I hope my example can be an example to other guys out there.”

The video, shot by PenWeddings, includes footage of the ceremony, reception and of the couple.

“I promise to always hold your hand and skip with you down the street and bring comfort to your life,” Scott says to Brielle. “I vow to make you say your prayers before you eat. I promise to read you stories at night and to always tuck you in real tight. I vow to show you how a man should treat a woman in my relationship with your mother. And above all else, I vow to protect you, care for you and love you forever.”

In November 2014, the couple welcomed a baby boy named Joseph.
