White House senior staff member and former “Apprentice” contestant Omarosa Manigault is married. Manigault tied the knot with Pastor John Newman Jr. on Saturday morning at the Trump International Hotel in Washington DC.
The intimate ceremony was attended by 70 guests including Niecy Nash. President Donald Trump did not attend the wedding, opting to spend the weekend at his Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida.
The bride wore a blush colored beaded YSA Makino cap sleeve tulle ball gown and carried a bouquet of cascading orchids. The couple recited traditional vows surrounded by cherry blossom vines.
Following the ceremony, the bride and groom toasted with orange juice in champagne glasses and enjoyed a cocktail reception in the hotel lobby followed by brunch.
Later in the day, a Nigerian wedding reception was held where the newlyweds danced to music spun by a DJ.
Omarosa announced her engagement in July 2016 after Newman proposed at The Sanctuary at Calvary Church in Jacksonville. They had originally planned to marry at the church, but made a last minute venue change to Washington DC amidst security concerns.
The couple met at Howard Business School. Manigault previously dated Michael Clake Duncan who passed away in 2012.
