Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell will be tying the knot “soon” in a low-key civil ceremony.
“Small. Just our families. I don’t know the exact date,” Shevell tells The New York Post’s Cindy Adams. “And don’t ask what I’ll wear, because how dressy do you get to stand before a Justice of the Peace in his chambers?”
McCartney proposed to Shevell on Friday with a five-carat antique engagement ring.
“A vintage 1925 Cartier engagement solitaire diamond from Tate Galleries,” Shevell says of the ring. “A total surprise.”
Following their wedding, the couple plan to live in England where McCartney has two homes.
