Pink married Carey Hart on January 7, 2006 at the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo. The non-denominational, sunset ceremony was held on the beach and attended by 140 guests, including Lisa Marie Presley.
Pink wore a two-piece ivory Monique Lhuillier gown, combining the Estee top and Finese skirt, with a black sash tied around her waist. Carey opted for a black Gucci jacket, lined with silk-screened pictures of his bride. The couple penned personal vows and performed a unity ceremony by pouring two kinds of sand into one vase. Their friends also shared readings, including excerpts from “The Prophet” and “Lyrical Life: A Rock and Roll Love Story Told in 200 Song Lyrics,” a collection of lines from famous love songs.
Before being pronounced husband and wife, the couple exchanged Stephen Webster wedding bands with the inscription “’Til Death.”
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in a tent decorated with pink and black accents. Wedding planner Kara Keaney worked with florist Mark’s Garden to create a rock ‘n’ roll-themed party. Tables were named for cities significant to the couple and featured rose and orchid centerpieces.
A four-course dinner included tomato and basil cappuccino and sea bass. Dessert followed with a Duncan Hines-flavored wedding cake created by Cake Divas. The cake topper featured a bride and groom popping a wheelie. As the newlyweds cut into the cake, Pink played a song written for the groom.
The couple shared their first dance to a song from the movie “Natural Born Killers,” and later in the evening, celebrated with guests in another ballroom that converted into a rock ‘n’ roll nightclub. Pink sang karaoke and was followed by rockabilly band Dick Brave and the Backbeats. DJ Max Goodwin then tookover and spun classic dance songs until 5 a.m.
After the wedding, the couple returned to L.A. before jetting off on a snowboarding honeymoon.
