Luxembourg’s heir to the throne, Prince Guillaume, married Belgian Countess Stephanie de Lannoy at the Cathedral of our Lady of Luxembourg on Saturday.
The bride wore a lace Elie Saab dress with a thirteen foot train. She paired it with a silk tulle veil adorned with a silver floral motif.
The ceremony was conducted in French, German and Luxembourgish. It began with a minute’s silence to honor the bride’s late mother, Countess Alix de Lannoy.
The glitzy reception took place at the Grand Ducal Palace. Guests included Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, Prince Naruhito of Japan, and Britain’s Prince Edward with his wife, Sophie.
The two-day wedding celebration included free concerts, street shows and a giant fireworks display.
