After proposing to Melissa Rycroft on the season finale of “The Bachelor,” Jason Mesnick changes his mind and calls off the engagement on “The Bachelor: After The Final Rose.”
“We’re not right for each other,” Jason tells Melissa in a shocking twist. “I still have feelings for Molly.”
A furious Melissa tells Jason, “Don’t call me. Don’t text me anymore. Leave me alone, please.” She gives back the engagement ring that Jason proposed with and leaves.
Once Melissa leaves, Molly Malaney enters the studio and faces Jason for the first time since they said goodbye in New Zealand.
“I ended things with Melissa because I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you,” Jason tells Molly.
Molly is dumbfounded but tells Jason she is willing to give their a relationship a chance. “I’m very confused,” she says. “I think we still have a lot to talk about, but my feelings never went away. I think we can see where things go.”
Jason says that what happened may not be classy or cool but you can’t control what’s inside of you.
